In his attempt to reconcile with his father Brian, Che reflected deeply on how he was impacted as a child growing up without a father. While he was able to break the cycle through music and the support of strong role models in his community, the effects of fatherlessness are devastating.

Fatherless boys and girls are:

  • Twice as likely to drop out of high school;
  • Twice as likely to end up in jail;
  • Four times more likely to need help for behavioral problems.
